Structure Affects Function
Structure Affects Function

Your spinal structure affects the overall structure and function of your body. Any joint that is not moving properly is a dysfunctional joint. A dysfunctional joint will lead to joint degeneration, muscle weakness and pain. The joint will degenerate because of the altered biomechanics and lack of motion. The muscles that move the joint will weaken because they will not be able to contract properly, which will lead to less joint motion and more degeneration. Over time this negative cycle will cause pain in the muscles and joint.
Many people will assume they can ignore the problem and it will go away. What will happen is your pain levels will decrease, but the joint dysfunction will remain and the muscles will continue to weaken. When you are feeling the discomfort of joint dysfunction most people will assume they can exercise the pain and discomfort away. The problem with trying to exercise when you have a joint that is either immobile or dysfunctional is that the extra workload on the muscles will lead to more problems. The only way to correct immobile or dysfunctional joints is to restore normal joint biomechanics. The chiropractic adjustments I do are designed to restore normal joint biomechanics. This will correct the structural problem and allow your body to function at it's optimal level. Corrective chiropractic care will help you live a long, active and healthy life.
Have a great day and God Bless.
